Mehmet Yilmaz, Assistant Professor

Environmental Engineering

My research interests are inter-disciplinary, covering environmental, geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering and chemistry. I specifically focus on solid waste containment system design and assessment, landfill gas emission controlling, carbon dioxide attenuation and mineralization, wind and geothermal energy geotechnics, life cycle assessment of renewable energy systems, and contaminant transport through porous and nonporous media.
