Diana Tigerlily, Professor of Practice

Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies

Dr. Diana Tigerlily is a Professor of Practice in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program, and in the University Honors program. Her teaching and research interests include autoethnography and performance as feminist methodologies, spoken word as public advocacy, contemporary feminist theories, and yoga philosophy and practice. She earned a Ph.D. in Communication Studies with a Performance Studies emphasis (2009) and a Graduate Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (2006) from Southern Illinois University, and an M.A. in English (1995) and B.A. in Psychology (1993, magna cum laude) from Eastern Illinois University.

Dr. Tigerlily was the recipient of the 2021 University Level Teaching Excellence Award, earning the title Distinguished Teacher, and she was a nominee for the CoLA Outstanding NTT Teacher Award in 2016.
