A Native of McBee, South Carolina, Greg Griggs has been in the law enforcement profession for over twenty-five years. He retired in 2023 but still holds a special officer commission for the SC Highway Patrol. For most of his career, he served as a SC State Trooper in various roles, including lead employment recruiter for the agency. He worked for local police agencies as well as a county sheriff’s department, achieving the highest rank of Interim Police Chief. Mr. Griggs was most recently the Law Enforcement Support Services Manager for the SC Department of Public Safety and oversaw the SC Law Enforcement Networks statewide before his retirement. He has been an adjunct college instructor and guest lecturer for several years, along with being a police instructor while holding several instructor certifications. He has a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Anderson University in SC and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
